Under One Roof
FAMILIES CAN BE THE MOST ACCOMPLISHED LIARS OF ALL.
When Catherine Bridewell is found dead in her own front yard, her wealthy lakeside family becomes a collection of suspects: Could it be her aimless son, recently cut out of the family fortune? Perhaps her wild-child, newly pregnant daughter with a shocking fiancé? Or was it her eldest daughter, whose life is cracking at the seams? Even Catherine’s own brother has secret ambitions of his own…
As Detective Melissa Abner investigates, she discovers that Catherine’s death may be connected to a final, explosive family dinner. The deeper Melissa digs, the more she uncovers two Bridewell families—the one they choose to show the world, and the one they keep hidden behind closed doors…
Under One Roof weaves a tense mystery into the heart of a family, where loyalty and betrayal live side by side. Perfect for fans of Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson and Home is Where the Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose.

This was a page turner! I finished it within 2 days and stayed up late to do so! I neglected all my home duties and some work to finish it up and I'm glad I did. It was a great book. At times, I thought it was predictable, but I was proved wrong. The plot/characters were interesting enough to keep my interest and to want more. Just keep reading because it's a great book!!

I absolutely cannot believe this is a debut novel. I cannot describe how much I LOVED this book. The twists were perfect, the attention to detail was perfect (using the name of a philosopher for the dog seems absolutely like something Albert would do), the ending was perfect. 100% perfect, no notes, I want more from this author immediately!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Twisty, unique, and unputdownable!

I thought this was a thoughtful thriller. It had a lot of great elements: secrets, suspense, complicated and twisty relationships, unreliable yet likable and realistic characters, and so much more.
If you like surprising twists that don't feel forced or manufactured, this is the book for you. It had some really surprising moments that caught me off guard. Most thrillers feel like they're pulling rabbits out of a hat with their twists, but these felt different—more natural. I appreciated the thought the author put into this story.
Overall, Lisa Underwood knows how to tell a great suspenseful story, and she's worth checking out if you love easy-to-read stories that will keep you on the page. I'll definitely read more by this author.
